About

My name is Chelsey Delaney and I am a 21-year-old senior undergraduate multimedia journalism student at the University of Texas.

I am originally from a small town north of Corpus Christi, Texas called Bayside, Texas, which has a population of 300 people. The boredom that ensued birthed my current hobbies. I love reading and writing poetry; I play five different instruments including my current love, the sitar; I think in a 24-hour cycle in terms of art and design.

Within the multimedia program at UT, I concentrate mainly on Web design, blogging, and interactive graphics. I have taken and mastered classes covering Web design, Web video, podcasting, and blogging.

Much of my work can be found online. I write a daily column for the National Examiner, a blog for the Daily Texan (I am currently the Blog Editor), and am a multimedia reporter for the brand new ABC News on Campus bureau at UT. I have also done a number of freelance Web design jobs.

Skills

I am XHTML, CSS, Actionscript, and PHP literate. I have a thorough knowledge of and much experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash and Adobe Dreamweaver. I also have extensive experience with content management systems --Wordpress in particular.
