I'm Chelsey Delaney, a UX designer and South Texan who lives and works in New York.

I'm currently a Senior UX Designer at Catalyst Group. I use my free time to do comedy-design things, write for publications such as Bedsider, and to research and speak about humor research and humor & interaction design.

I've spoken about and given workshops on the topic of humor+design at Ignite!, SXSW Interactive, LeanUX NYC, and humor research conferences.

My experience as a designer has focused primarily in the area of, yes, humor, but really humans. I'm passionate about health care and education, and facilitating the ease of access to both through design solutions. I love working on collaborative teams, particularly in an environment that encourages the sharing of respect and the having of fun (in a professional way).

I received a bachelor’s degree in multimedia journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and received a master’s of design degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
